What an experience, amazing routes, safe and brilliant volunteers. I have done two previous multiday rides in Colorado and thought that I had seen most of what was to be seen, I have visited each start town before, but there was something about how routes were put together that were indeed unique.
Miles melted away as much because of the scenery and the care taken by riders and volunteers.
I had a chance meeting with Michael O Brian, who had his stolen bike returned to him yesterday. He and his colleagues are riding for worldbicyclerelief.org. Having met the team I believe that there is much we can do in Europe to support a real worthy cause.
If you look back at my original post I was looking for a way in which I could blend my passion for the sport with purposeful giving. I think I might have found it.
Last point, on arriving at my hotel this evening had a chance meeting with Ron Kiefel…such a great rider in his day. Still remember a killer of a climb in Ireland. I actually saw them ride that day.
